Martha Lee Turner, Ph.D., is Senior Technical Writer for Research and Development for MJP Healthcare Innovations. Her work focuses on the development, technical description, specification, and presentation of an analytic infrastructure for healthcare payment. Her contributions include content strategy, logical troubleshooting, technical writing and editing, and representing logic in flow charts. Dr. Turner brings diverse experience and insight to her work, allowing her to see below the surface to find new relationships and to add depth and context to the technical material she prepares. She is an expert at working with concepts under development and with describing things that are theoretical and unformed.

Dr. Turner previously taught at the University of Notre Dame and at City Colleges of Chicago, worked as a freelance editor and writer, and developed critical/analytical reasoning questions (for use on the GRE and/or GMAT) for the Educational Testing Service. She has also worked as a geological technician and as a legal assistant. She is author of The Gospel according to Philip: The Sources and Coherence of an Early Christian Collection (Leiden: E. J. Brill, 1996) and other publications.

Dr. Turner is a member of the American Medical Writers Association and of the Society for Technical Communication and holds the latter organization’s Certified Professional Technical Communicator credential (CPTC). She earned her Ph.D.in Christianity and Judaism in Antiquity at the University of Notre Dame, and her B.A. in History and Philosophy from Skidmore College.
